He goes from posting within institutional/corporate email servers, to strictly from home, to not at all. Lacunza's name is last mentioned in a CVS commit, dated to April 30, 2001. At this point, his 2 postings in 2001 besides this CVS commit indicate that he was no longer employed or posting from institutional servers. Here's my grand unifying theory: >1999, pretty good position in rapidly exploding market, at LBL >2000, peak of activity, posting from within institutions, still at LBL and now Sun Microsystems>2001. activity has sharp drop off, only 3 recorded instances of Lyle's contributions exist dating January 3, 2001, March 14, 2001, and April 30, 2001. After then Lyle's trace goes cold until he's found in Amanda Park. So, piecing this together with the low amount of info. Lyle was an OG doomer who probably lost his job during the bubble crash in mid 01, gradually lost weight as he didn't have work. Slowly burned through the rest of his cash living in SF or Alameda county somewhere. Ashamed by all of this, and coming from a Spanish family who refused to acknowledge his existence after his death, kills himself anonymously to spare his family the shame of his failure.
