How do I fix my eyes the /x/ way? I saw a thread some time ago about the fact that they were hiding from us how the ciliary muscles can be trained just like any other muscle, and normally if no glasses were prescribed one's ciliary muscles would eventually adjust itself.

>It's just genetics, get over it.
I don't believe it, If so how does so many people have myopia nowadays, how would a population with so prevalent with myopia come to survive all those harsh times until the modern age?

So how do I fix this condition? I'm tired of seeing the world 21:9 or from whatever smaller ratio. Anybody has source to the thread I've mentioned, or some other method that could help a fellow anon out?

It should work.
Making a tiny hole by curling your index finger, adjusting it with the thumb and looking through it you will see details well in the distance.

Not exactly an /x/ method but the Bates method created by William Horatio Bates claims to treat vision problems without glasses. A lot of scientists reject it but I imagine you don’t take their opinions too seriously. Here’s a link to Mr. Bates’s book and a wikipedia article about his method:
https://en.wikisource.org/wiki/Perfect_Sight_Without_Glasses
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bates_method?wprov=sfti1#Early_history

>It’s genetic
That theory is a load of BS, genetics don’t suddenly spread to a quarter or a third of the population within a couple generations. The primary cause of nearsightedness in most cases is lack of exposure to sunlight and time spent outdoors. We’ve known for millennia that close-work is linked to myopia, people were noticing nearsighted monks in the middle ages. Victorian-era doctors and labor journalists noticed factory workers developing myopia and attributed it to the close-work they were forced to do every day. But now when we face sky-high myopia rates it’s suddenly genetic? The cause of these high myopia rates isn’t genetic, it’s the fact the children are forced to stay inside all day. The school system forces children under the strong arm of the law to stay inside for nearly the entire school day, which is often barely behind the average working day for adults. Most schools assign homework, which can further reduce children’s available outdoor time by multiple hours. Parents have a chance to reduce children’s time spent indoors by encouraging them to play while there’s still daylight out but they also have the chance to further reduce it by signing their child up for a million indoor extracurricular activities, forcing them to take excessive sun protection measures, forcing them to do homework before going outside or forcing them to do extra studying in the name of their academic future. Childhood myopia is the most widespread occupational disease of our day.

thx, Will keep this in mind while reading what this anon >>42274004 mentioned.

I'd like to ask, do you know if the methods of the two books overlap?

Stop using vision altering products. Simple as. Seen results quick and can pass tests without the crutches.

Let them heal.
>>

Somewhat

In the "Take off your glasses and see" book, there's a method called palming (basically putting the palms of your hands over your eyes) this is one method of resting the eyes and mind and it may also be that the palms of the hands emit healing energy, so its a pretty good method for improving the vision also doing ones best to imagine blacker blackness supposedly helps

I read somewhat into the book that was linked by
>>42274004
and it suggests rest from mental strain is important for improving eyesight
Both books note that the eye varies between myopia and other refraction error states, and that straining to see far causes myopia while straining to read close causes the opposite.

I've learned from this board not to trust W.H. Bates. The modern alternative vision method is losetheglasses.org and other material linked from that website.
As I understand from these more current takes, Bates works if your myopia is temporary myopia caused by eyestrain. It's possible that it is or that some of it is. I know that during times I use the computer too much, my vision gets worse. But you can't eliminate all myopia just by relaxing; you need to practice focusing on blurry things in a relaxed way.

I just did this

Why does this work
>>
>>42275175
Yes they are basically the same as far as I can see
I looked over the chapters and both of them have palming and such

Apparently its about the mind, if one can believe in better sight for oneself and reduce mental strain, then in most cases one should be able to gain better sight without glasses

It doesn't actually fix your vision. It works in the way squinting does.
See my post >>42276501 There are vision improvement methods I trust. I'm going to give it an honest shot myself soon after I get some things in life in order this month.

What a pain, can't wear my glasses during sleep / meditation.

>Why does this work

The tiny hole narrows your field of view significantly forcing what's essentially a laser beam of light directly into the center of your lens

Unless you have completely fucked eyes, it allows the image to reach your optic nerve without being distorted by and incorrectly shaped lens

healing mantras
I found some mantras last year that helped me heal different crap including a bit of my astigmatism

I can stretch my eyes (like an American imitating a Chinese person) and regain detailed vision. From this first hand data I can determine that my subpar eyesight is due to weak eye muscles. Progressive eyeglass prescriptions would naturally propagate said weakness of myopic muscle. I haven't found the exact method ( and I still have too much screen time) but I am confident in the self healing capability of the human body provided proper environs.

~100 hours of Gameboy SP color made me blind. I also think parasites are a huge problem that hasn't been addressed. Going on 10 years and still looking for a solid remedy to modern poisoning. Feel like my life and future have been stolen from me by preservatives, pesticides, and heavy metals.

Eyepatch method. Wear an eyepatch while you do (non dangerous) things around the house, watch tv etc, swap the covered eye every 30 minutes. Just do an hour or two per day. Takes a couple months to notice an improvement.

>>42276453
I have not worn glasses ( appx 20/120 in both eyes) and have not seen improvement but have not seen detriment either. Starting to think that muscular/skeletal tweaking is causing inflammation and subsequent tampered eyesight. I played football and likely suffered multiple back injuries during elementary and middle school. I also contracted hpv from birth and have had floaters since youth. No one has been able to give me an answer on my illnesses.
>>
>>42276514
The quality of my eyesight I've found to be entirely dependent on my inflation state as a whole. Inb4 degenerate ( I know) vodka does not give me the same visual impairment as beer. Just raw data.

It's likely just excess fat on your eyelids and cheeks fucking up your vision

I haven't had to wear glasses since I did a shitload of psychedelics in 2019 and 2020, but I don't really recommend anyone else do that. My prescription was already pretty weak.

>eat liver
>be stress free
>get enough sunlight (about 5x more than science says you should)
there's reasons those might help. idk though just guessing
