Never had particularly vivid dreams until I started dream journaling and keeping a bag of large-crystal salt near my head as I sleep. Since then dreams have been intensely vivid, four to seven times a week, and extremely unpleasant. Last night: very upsetting dream. I was a lawyer visiting Krakow for work purposes, dealing with some Irish men who were in custody there. The police were antagonizing one of them, trying to get him to act erratically and get in more trouble. I was warning him not to. After a while I left. I had a date with a Polish girl. She seemed like an artsy, alternative type. I told a joke i thought was funny: "pizza and beer are the most important macronutrients". After a while I got called away early for a work thing. I had to go to an island (strange because Krakow doesn't have a coastline) where some dangerous, covert work was happening, where one of the managers had a mental breakdown. I think I was there to investigate human rights abuses by the authorities. It was night when I got there. When I got there one of the security people told me the manager who had the breakdown was a coward and a traitor, and that he (the security man) had "gotten him with the ramrod". I didn't know what that meant. He led me to a warehouse. I went in, and slowly made my way in towards the manager. He'd had his hands and feet bound, and he was blindfolded and gagged. A cattle prod had been shoved up his anus and was intermittently electrocuting him. There was some sort of x-ray camera that showed his innards consulving. There was urine and semen all over the floor. I woke up. I cried for a few minutes after waking up. I don't like this but I doubt I could stop now I've popped the cork.
