What is the /x/ opinion on Crows? Ravens? Corvus?
I don’t remember when exactly, maybe sometime in January 2020, but the original official name was actually “CORVID 19” but that only lasted for a few hours then the next day they changed it.
i saw a raven today in the monkey and bird parkit noticed my help helper and looked at herthen it took a cardboard in its beak, moved and dropped it
>>42274464There have been various cultures that view them as psychopomps that guide souls to the afterlife, or at least associated with death in some way. Whether that's viewed as good, bad or neutral depends on the culture. I personally don't get any spooky vibes from them. They're very intelligent and I've made friends with some maybe times in my life.
im a little bit autistic and a little bit druid coded. ive been talking about corvids for the past 2 years because i've become obsessed with them. i try to befriend them and care for them in the wild. i feed them and like to spend all day watching them. i feel like there's been a resurgence in the collective unconscious about crows in the past 2 years or so and its emergence has been curious. Crows used to be universally hated but now I'd say about half the people on earth like them. They seem to be a canary in the coalmine for some larger memetic phenomenon.
>>42274464Both crows and ravens are thriving where I live, but they have driven away the local scrub jay population, which are my preferred corvid.
>>42274464They are the eyes and messengers of the gods according to legend. But you don’t have to treat them like gods.
>>42274464smart af, most likely seen as portenders of doom because of their intelligence and ability to mimic human voices.
>>42274464Asshole cunts. I saw two torturing a dying bird on the beach once. Australian magpies are much better
YES CROWYES CROWYES CROW :D
>>42274464One of the few animals smart enough to be spiteful. I like them.
>>42276702Jesus fucking Christ. You're a stupid cunt. Australian magpies are opportunistic predators too.
>>42274464frens :)
>>42274464They are my spirit animal. No joke. Had one talk to me in a dream.
>>42274985The 19 stands for 2019.
>>42276714He’s just desperately trying to make Australia some how relevant to the conversation.
>>42274464Covid. Corvid. I think they are connected.
so smart it's spookyrecommend befriending when possible
caw caw
>>42275199>ScrubShould have just gotten gud lmao gg
On many occasions when I've been in a difficult situation or making a tough decision, a crow has appeared and spurred me to bravery and risk-taking. I feel like it's the same crow every time, although I can't justify that.
