Martin Luther wanted to write the perfect bible that was completely unaffected by the effects of translation from one language to another.
He began with searching for the original source material. Everyone that had knowledge was telling him to go to the jews, all the original texts had begun with them. So he finally did. As the highest legal document the parables from the stories in the bible were the basis for legal arguments. The government wanted to edit it to put the bias on their side in several cases where the public had won against the crown in the courts.

But back to the translation problem. If you understand the history of christianity in Europe then you can understand what happened.

If you get into far enough you can discern that some of the passage has been mistranslated.. because the words from within these places names also have their own meanings. Green pastures? Still waters? Place names from the south are often similar once translated..

As I now understand the original the truth of psalm 23 becomes clear; it was literally the postal code marking for a package to be sent through the old zigurat temple system.
This is the extent that translation has affected the literature.

If you have three persons who are all called God, then you would have to apply every attribute of God to all three persons just as they are described in the Bible.

They would all have to be omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent, the creator, the sustainer, perfectly righteous, perfectly just, loving, merciful, truthful, faithful, unchanging, eternal, infinite, Holy, The Most High.

Only the first 3 attributes listed here are needed to understand the Triunity of God.
Omnipotence, omniscience, and omnipresence.

A question that many Christians find difficulty answering when asked is, "How can The Father, Jesus The Son, and The Holy Spirit all be God if there is only One God?"

On the surface of this question it would seem to be an impossibility according to logic that we understand.
How can three be one?

If you apply the attribute of omnipotence to all three persons, then you may realize that a paradox could occur.
Hypothetically, imagine a scenario in which two of these omnipotent persons took an action against each other.
Whose will would prevail?
If they were both truly omnipotent, then it must be that both would prevail, but that would be an impossibility.
It would, at this point, seem that two or more omnipotent persons that have distinct wills could not exist at the same time.

However, a solution to this paradox is formed once you begin to apply the rest of the attributes of God to these persons.

If all three persons are omniscient, then they would all be wisdom itself, and knowledge itself.
They would, all three, have perfect understanding of all things, including the will of each other.
Having perfect knowledge, the decisions and actions of all three would be in perfect agreement in all ways.
Therefore, the paradox of omnipotence would never occur.
In fact, it is this paradox of omnipotence that becomes the impossibility.

not that anon but i've realised lately that while yes the ritual itself as it is practiced today, as well as the extremely shallow interpretations of what it represents that are presented by the church and accepted by many Christians are absurd and clear misunderstandings of what is itself an incredibly deep and beautiful concept (just as with much of the rest of modern Christianity). With that being said; the ritual as it is, along with the shallow presented interpretation of it, are what have allowed for the idea of the Eucharist (along with any deeper ideas represented) to be preserved through the ages to the benefit of those willing to actually explore the deeper ideas behind the ideas put in front of them. People are too quick to shit on what Christianity has come to be, those people are contrarian assholes or just haven't thought about it enough. Modern Christianity as a whole is exactly what it needs to be and it does a fine job of presenting people who otherwise wouldn't know where to start with questions and concepts that will serve them well.
