Hello, /x/. So, I was reading about Woodstok and how it was a revolutionary music festival. How it changed the culture or had an influence in shaping the culture at the time, the american culture, and by extension all the places which follow america as some sort of role model. Anyway, I was reading how this festival had connections with one of the alphabet agencies, maybe the CIA, I don't remember. How the people were given this new drug, LSD, and how the public was experimented on during this festival. But what really did shock me was reading about how the people were high while being surrounded by sewage mixed with dirt and water. It is said that the sewage started to lick and it mixed with the mud and the rain because it did rain a lot. And this disgusted me big time because I have seen footages of children playing in the "mud" and people had sex in that mud and I started thinking like, "no way this is true, man, no fucking way". Then I researched old photos about the festival and with this new information in mind I started to see the people on the photos and the "mud" over them. I did read about all the stories, of how strong the smell was in that place, a weird smell, then it all clicked. Man, people were high rolling in sewage mixed with dirt and water while musicians were playing at a very high volume this very new and exciting form of music! Do you faggots undestand what this implies, man? No wonder why our wourld is so fucked up right now! If you stop to think that there are children who are all grow up today that were conceived in such a place then it makes a lot of sense of why the world is like it is! I mean, it's wild to realize that the government took this and learned something from this. That people are happy to roll in the sewage. This only signals to the authorities that we are like bacterias. It is a shame.

I am not defending the saccharine popular music that came before the Summer of Love either, it simply introduced a whole new level of fuckery.I play in the Asbury Park scene and it's the most depressing place imaginable. As for the local music, everyone consciously imitates Bruce or Dylan, it is reflexive and automatic, lifeless, exaggerated and grotesque, with lyrical content that echoes the despair that you can feel all around. It is the legacy of Woodstock. The water there flows south to NYC and empties into the bay. I ought to quit my band. I have been thinking about it.
