Why do malls utterly captivate zoomers so much
>>
>>42287625
Anyone born after 2000 have little to no memories of ever being in them

They grew up in a world where random people don't really go to physical places to hang out anymore, so any place where people used to hang out is essentially like an ancient spiritual relic of an ancient forgotten society.
>>
That's why shit like roblox and fortnight matter so much to them because that's where all of their friends are/were.
>>
Also old movies and tv shows make malls seem cool. It's where the cute girl from school would hang out, and people dressed nice and everyone had their own small clique-like community. Most people who have memories of those places have fond memories of them. For previous generations it was stuff like fairs and festivals. Places where basically everyone around your age hung out that was outside of school and it was basically free to enjoy minus whatever food or snacks you wanted to buy. Peoples entire constructed identities and social groups revolved around specific stores, etc.

None of that really exists anymore. Everyone just buys everything online and hangs out online.

I think they are probably us psychically travelling theough malls and spaces of the future or other dimensions not just dream architecture

That era is basically the last time anyone remembers the economy being good enough that a 14 year old kid could work for minimum wage part-time during the summers and still manage to save up enough money to buy a car and take a girl out on a date or something.

Just the current form of the The Akashic Records

They remind me of a better time. A time when there were actually fun things to do outside of the house. Now there is nothing.

its fake and sterile like a hospital, but made to seem more inviting

I'm pretty sure I've actually seen that in a dream. What the hell?

we literally still just have these in the UK. It's not really that magical.

That looks like shit. That's just a regular city street pretending to be a mall. Plus, nobody goes there to hang out, they just buy something, get food, and leave.
>>
>>42289764
yeah, that's the thing. You don't go to a place of commerce to "hang out". This is a made up concept.

You are dangerously stupid. Don't reply to me again.

Admittedly, this is a really cool looking building, but I sure don't want to be there. It's just a wall of human noise.

Malls are only cool as a concept when they're empty, and not operating for their intended purpose.

because all they have is amazon and aliexpress and big box stores staffed by mind controlled debt slaves that get ritualistically humiliated every day.
