when i was 9 and used to live in south america i had my first out of body experience. I vividly remember closing my eyes as I was falling asleep on my couch when i felt a sinking feeling in my chest and suddenly I was floating above my body looking down at it. I felt weightless. It was different from sleep paralysis which I had experienced before, I had full control of directional movement and my vision, I regret not ever going out of the boundaries of my home while I was in this state but I was scared and didn’t know what was going on at the time. I roamed my house and was able to look at what people inside my home were doing. I’m not sure how I broke out of this state but somebody must’ve woken me up, I then was able to recall exactly what my grandmother was doing at the time I was asleep which would not have been possible any other way. I’ve never been able to replicate this experience in the U.S ever since.
