I want to preface this by saying this is not an endorsement of any groups, I'm merely interested in starting a dialogue on wether or not these practices have some sort of merit and value. One of the things that always interested me about the 7FW was it's emphasis on engaging in real world trials and challenges in order to bring about alchemical change within you, it requires the practitioner to engage with the world and push themselves, putting themselves in danger, not just sitting on their ass praying and meditating. The main tasks are undergoing a ritual of self initiation, creating an altar or space for rituals and meditation, hunting an animal with a crossbow and skinning the animal and eating it, setting a demanding physical goal like running 22 miles in under 2 hours, living in the wilderness without modern utilities for 3 months, and laying on your back in the middle of the woods for an entire night until sunrise without falling asleep or moving. I suppose my question is, do you think these practices serve any real function in advancing ones spiritual development? This is not about wether or not you personally approve of the 7FW but merely if you think these practices or similar ones actually serve any purpose.

Overcoming adversity will strengthen you. If you had a good dad he probably already told you this and you were just too retarded to internalize it. It's like when your mom tells you to clean your room and you're like "FUCK YOU MOM AND DAD!" but when Jordan Peterson or some other cult leader says the exact same thing you're like "so trve! so based!"

The actual specifics of the 7FW like "finger your butthole under a full moon on the 23rd day of the year while chanting latin hymns to Asmodeus for 2.3 hours straight" are not necessary. The actual substance of the 7FW is just telling you to step out of your comfort zone and overcome adversity. If you're a city dwelling zoomer with no practical skills, turn your phone off and don't use the internet for 3 months while learning practical skills in the wilderness, and vice versa.

You see, i’d like to, but there literally is no wilderness where I live. Stuff like camping out in the woods, going hunting etc. are pretty much impossible, if they are possible it is heavily commodified and regulated and restrictive.

Just go to the bad part of town and train your social skills on randos. Create that adversity. 2 lessons in one.

All of this is just a cope.
>literally is no wilderness where I live
So go somewhere else. Buy a bus ticket, walk, hitchhike, get a bicycle.
>if they are possible it is heavily commodified and regulated and restrictive.
Yet another hurdle you should overcome. Break the law, and get away with it.

Cope and excuses. Are there bums and homeless around you? Obviously yes, as everywhere. So if they can do it, why can't you? Your first task shall be to stop being a pussy and recognize that the regulators depend on your cooperation and can do fuck all if you refuse to cooperate, like camping in a no camping zone
