How does 'magic' work? I am convinced that there are two categories and that is it. ESP (which isn't magic, it's just perceiving reality in a spiritual lens and a less physical one and being more receptive to it) and using spirits to do what you think is 'magic' (these spirits being mostly demons). The thing is this operates on quid pro quo and some random white girl who thinks she is a ‘witch’ doesn't have much to offer, so you'll partly imagine stuff and whatever you do get is useless. Like divination, I legitimately think whatever you do get will be so vague that it will have no practical value. So, is there a form of 'magic' that is worthwhile? It seems like the only real way to gain the benefits of magic is just to sell your soul like Epstein did and try to corrupt your fellow man. Is there a category of spiritual actions one can take to have greater advantage in daily life or is it mostly useless?

It's all just invisible fairies fucking with us, basically. We created mental images like jesters, gnomes and little winged cuties to subconsciously cope with not actually being in any real control of reality. Successful magicians are people who are the most entertaining to these beings, and get reality warped a little for their continued engagement. It's kind of like their form of a video game, particularly virtual pet games, and the goal is to get the most unnaturally ridiculous result before their human-character goes batshit, is incapacitated, or dies.

>>42312117What is magic tho? Can you define it?I think divination etc are blashemy, in the sense that you relinquish you are admitting you are weak and scared and will seek supernatural forces for your own benefit. For me personally, magic is being in tune with ideas, understanding abstract ideas that flow and intertwine all around us. I can do this and i wouldn't be able to tell you how i've come to do it... It's defintiely a process.
