The orgasm is a reward mechanism of sex which is as many mentioned is for simple process of procreation. Procreation it's seem, based on the reward type, THE most important thing creatures can do. If there was no "reward" there will be no insensitive to do so, therefore procreate, therefore the perpetual machine of creation would just fizzle out, therefore, the whole point of creation would be lost.
