New video from Dir en Grey (1 of the biggest og J-rock bands since the 90's-00s) depicts a mother selling her child/ infant to cult sacrifice ritual: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=roY2o9kViNY&list=RDVtUxDfCogKw&index=10

cults have been huge in Japan forever, and given how wealthy and globally connected they've been this stuff definitely goes on over there too. I wonder if they know some shit being some of the biggest J-rockstars in the industry for the last 20+ years

also they had a song called "child prey" which was apparently used as the OP for the english dub of Baki the Grappler it's so raw for an anime op lol: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hA0hA4i6a-U

You've never heard their songs Mazohyst of Decadence or Obscure, have you? Kyo is a staunch anti-abortionist, he HATES child sacrifice. It's just Dir en grey's style to show uncomfortable truths. As long as they've been in the industry though, it wouldn't surprise me if they knew some shit.

I honestly haven't listened to them since like 2010 they just randomly popped up on my yt feed lol, I remember they were definitely the rawest of the few J-rock bands I listened to

not saying they're involved in a sacrifice cult lol but they definitely seem to be depicting it pretty outright.

I highly doubt they'd be involved in that sort of thing themselves, given how much Kyo detests human sacrifice. But yeah, I'm sure they know about stuff that goes on. Kyo just really likes to convey uncomfortable things in his videos, they've been doing that for decades. You should listen to Mazohyst of Decadence and read the translated lyrics (then watch the video), the song is written from the perspective of a fetus undergoing abortion. It's haunting and pretty tragic.

also just listened to the final unplugged version for the first time holy fawk. Used to be hella in da feels listening to the og back in hs lol kyo is an insane vocalist/ lyricist (idk japanese but even translated his lyrics slap)

the japanese are def v autistic and lorepilled, maybe more than us desu

DEG obviously flirt with gruesome visuals and heavily disturbing lyrics, which could largely be written off as being part of the 'shock' music scene of about 20+ years ago.
However, there is great sincerity in much of their music and videos. Many of their songs are angry lamenting about the state of humanity and how children are basically just playthings for demons.

Mazohyst of Decadence describes the feelings of a fetus towards its mother that is about to abort it. It's considered a criticism of how abortions are treated too lightly in Japan, as though they were any other form of contraception, almost as though it were no different than a morning after pill.

Obscure's lyrics describe bloody sacrifices under a killing moon, while the video shows women being brutally ravaged by a demon with a steel cock. It also depicts a woman wandering a forest of trees that grow baby heads like pomegranates. She plucks them and eats them with a smile. Meanwhile, a buddhist monk is writhing in agony during some sort of sick ritual where he pins ofuda to his body and cuts himself. I believe this actually parallels the character in Buddhist tradition named Hariti (Kishimojin in Japanese), a woman who dwells in the realm of hungry ghosts and feasts on innocent children together with her many daughters. DEG (or maybe just Kyo) might be suggesting that a parent who willingly sacrifices their child in a bloody ritual before they're even born is no better than a hungry ghost.

MOBS seems to be just a re-treading of themes they've covered before, but with all of the revelations in the past year or so of how prevalent human and child sacrifice is in elite circles, it's worth treading again.
