Silicon has been detected in Andromeda-related spectroscopy in other contexts, especially in absorption studies of the galaxy’s circumgalactic gas, where Si II, Si III, and Si VI have been measured along background sightlines. That is evidence for silicon in Andromeda’s halo gas, but it is not the same as saying a particular emission spectrum line from Andromeda’s light is silicon.
