The main test for if these things are demons or not is trying to figure out if they have an innate desire for control. Doesn't matter if that control is used for good, that is still demonic because the means are evil. God and good entities LET GO of other beings. They know that if they were to control others there would be nothing left of the world but automatons. Demons do not know this, they believe they can perfect the world and they do not see beauty in the free will of others. That is the main test you should apply. I feel similarly. I have often wished to abandon my humanity, too. And I think I might’ve accomplished this physically. I have a supernatural resistance to strangulation. Most people when strangled will faint in 10 seconds or less and die in no more than 3 minutes due to the bloodflow to their brain being cut off. I stay fully conscious after being garroted for 6 minutes. I think I also possess an unnatural resistance to being struck and being stabbed, but those things are a lot harder to measure consistently and objectively.

Yes. I recently came to this conclusion today about new age entities. Im a gen z and i got roped into the "lightworking" and "angel numbers" stuff because it was and probably still is popular with my generation and younger generations but the things i read from proponents of the "lightworking" ideology/theory like Joanne Walmsley who writes about the angel number meanings on her website, led me to believe that these beings, if real, were forcibly controlling me for the purpose of making me do good things.
I have a language learning video playing on TV and the term "ungrateful bastard" just played out loud while I was editing the part about Joanne Walmsley.
There are also tons of logically contradictory stuff in that belief system's ideology and they also promote "law of attraction" stuff.
I think the new agey "lightworking" stuff is basically real as an ideology with entities who are connected to it and interact with humans but i dont like the ideology nor those entities and i think they forcibly control humans. I think they are basically the same as new agey people but with actual metaphysical powers.

I discovered my ability several months ago during an emotional outburst. I garroted myself thinking I’d faint and wake back up shortly after. I counted to twenty seconds in my head only to discover I was still fully conscious. When garroted I can usually hear tinnitus and feel a build up of blood pressure in my face, and I sometimes feel light-headed, so I don’t think it’s a matter of not pulling tight enough. It only takes about 10 pounds of force to close off the carotid arteries. I still tried finding a martial arts gym to test this hypothesis by putting me in a chokehold, but I didn’t have much luck.
