See, that mindset right there I think is symptomatic of the need to take a break. I totally get that a lot of people have a timeline for their lives or they may feel there's a small window of opportunity to meet the right person. Life doesn't always work out that way though. Yes, there might be an ideal time or age to meet the person you're going to settle down with. The caveat to that is that everyone is on their own timeline and the best time for someone else might not be the best time for you.

If it helps you feel more comfortable you could put a time limit (I would suggest at least 2-3 months) where you fully focus on you, building connections and self acceptance (the good and the bad). Then check in with yourself when that time has passed. You can review how you've progressed, how you're feeling and how your mindset has changed. Then decide if you want to jump back into dating.

I promise you that you taking time to look after yourself and grow as a person, is not going to make you less attractive and it wont be that there's no one left to date.

Take a step back, try and detach yourself as much as possible. More than anything else let go of the need to be right and view the situation as objectively as possible. yeah so, I think from Ps perspective that's true and I don't know everything that went down with them so it may be that there's some truth? P sent me a letter like, detailing how the real bad guy is B and a lot of the evidence they listed I already knew was hugely misinterpreted. It's hard because although P is manipulative and has done wrong, they genuinely believe they are the victim. This is despite being the aggressor or person being deceptive in so many situations. Another reader said DARVO and like, yeah that fits him really. He definitely feels massively slighted. So yeah! I think this is accurate.
