Hello my fellow /x/-chizos and frens; figured it try this again =3I was hoping some of you might have some information on the subject of the magi/magus throughout historyIn particular their history and what exactly they are suppose to represent . . .>>obviously theirs the Christian 3 wise men who came to see yeshua allegedly But I'm interested in their relationship with greater esoteric practices as well as their history within Persia for exampleAnything you fine people have on this subject would be greatly appreciated even if it's something silly frens=3
Bump cuz im interested too. I've not read much into the history of magic but there was this sorcerer called Bar-Jesus (Elymas) in the Bible. It's not described how exactly he was a sorcerer but the Holy Spirit ended up blinding him temporarily. It's a pretty bizarre and short story but may as well write it hereThere's also The Magus by Francis Barrett but I stopped reading it a long time ago since the big 1801 words scared me Q_Q. Maybe I'll pick it up again though
>>42354549>The Magus by Francis BarrettHmmm interesting fren I've never heard of that one, thanks for the info, I hope you can get some info from the thread also!
Bump
One of the bishopric told me a story about the temple garment saving his life a couple of times. Is he the magus? Or is the one who made the garment the magus?
>>42358045Can you tell me more about this fren? Might I ask where this was? What his claim was? >>I know Yeshua was said to tell people not to touch his robes if I'm not mistaken? Any info you have would be greatly appreciated, I know this might be much but what bishopric was it? Did he give any specific examples fren?
>>42354061Magi are zoroastrian priests.so... look up zoroastrianism. If you know christianity, a lot of it should sound familiar, the jews copied a decent chunk when they syncretized it with their canaanite religion.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zoroastrianism
