This belongs here because the game topic and aesthetic is religious in nature.

The game is a series of quicktime events and button tapping on the right and left mouse button while balancing scrolling the mousewheel.

It starts with you before a tightrope. Quick time events go before you as you step onto it, seeing on the other end of a fiery gorge a golden wall with open white glowing gates. Once you progress the quicktime events the wall gets farther and farther. The whole time you have to check your footing by looking down at the tightrope. It's impossible to get to Heaven, and eventually you'll have to let the accelerating difficulty of the quicktime events take you downward.

You hit the lava and hear the screams around you, there are glowing angelic wings flying in the air and diving into the lava, with a couple with chains flying above and around a black island simmering in the lava. You have to mash right mouse click and left mouse click in succession or you'll be pulled under the lava for your mistakes on alternating between left and right. Scrolling the mousewheel kicks your feet out of the lava.

After making it to the island more quicktime events ocurr until you either fail and someone comes behind you and bashes your head in with a rock or you succeed and go into a blind rage and do it yourself. A number flashes across the screen every time you succeed and an angel pours hot lava down your throat before he throws you farther away into the lava.

The whole game could be made in unity with prefab assets and I would be satisfied. I can't make it myself. I just want to see it happen. What's more, I want thousands of voice actors sending in their screams in a community project so their screams can be added to the game.

It's the answer to the mystery of Zaqqum, the cursed tree of Hell in islamic belief.

I was hoping for a horror game. The horror comes in the ambience of what people scream. Direction would be given for the screams, so that people would confess a sin before being thrown back into sobbing or being thrown into the lava etc.

A consistent gameplay loop though... maybe a gameplay loop of getting to the island and being thrown into a different section in the overworld and underworld of hell. There are 6 underworlds and countless ecosystems in the overworld covered in these creatures called the Hellspawn that you could thrash against with QTEs.

This would be one of the easiest things to program and as long as the QTEs were quick, like something leaping at you and then in slow motion having to press 5-10 buttons on the keyboard in less than 5-3 seconds depending on the difficulty of what you face in the QTE.

You're mostly defenseless in hell as the rocks and stones there are inadequate to cause anything other than superficial damage and pain which you get punished for when doing to the Hellborn.

You're in such debilitating pain you cant do much more than thrash around and scream or breathe through gritted teeth just to maintain thrashing around. That could be added as part of the onslaught of QTEs.
