Dude, spirits can hurt you. I met one who was very talented applying pressure and hurting the underside of the arm. He would do it when I was trying to sleep. Another spirit in my old apartment would punch me in the balls. That hurt a lot. Other people have also said spirits hurt them and some have scratches to prove it. And they can have power over you if you are possessed by them. Even when they influence you, that is a form of power.
