Why would I want the spirit of a being who asks Its or "His" (It identifies as a male) followers to kill babies? Why would I willingly invite this spirit to live inside me? I mean, I'm being one sided here because I'm only using one example, but this spirit commanded His people to kill babies and boys and men, but keep the women and girls so they can procreate with them. I mean, how can this spirit be good? It commanded babies to be killed. How is this a good thing? How can people say that this spirit is holy when it commanded innocent babies to die? I understand I'm not the first one asking this question nor will I be the last, but this question is asked with this specific thing in mind because it is a perfect, almost, way to signal the dissonance of what is being stated, the real nature of the act beying executed, from what they want us to believe. "Nature" or "God" or whatever has designed us in such a way that we find babies cute, small children cute, they have small noses and big round eyes and the likes, features that force our brains to release certain chemicals so much so that we won't mind being awake all night taking care of one of those little babies. And then comes the bible and it says how "God" asked his people to kill such creatures. Like, do you understand that God was asking human beings to go against their own instinct of protection/nurturing? I wonder if God really asked them that or if it was a person pretending to be God. I think the concept of gods being "perfect beings" is just wrong, we are made in their image, ergo we being imperfect shows their imperfections.
