I really think the author of this story was onto something. In the visual novels characters start remembering the alternate timelines as dreams. Especially those in which they died. But also as visions and out-of-place memories.I've always had dreams in which I died in some way, events that had already happened went differently with no particular desire from me, as well as dreams with future events in them (premonitory). The premonitory ones sometimes I have changed, sometimes they happen as I dreamed them.If the subconscious is detached from causality, and has access to all our possible experiences, it's only logical that if there's a way to time leap it's through the subconscious. I don't know about physically, because consciousness comes before physical matter, and it might be an illusion anyway.

I swear that at some point between Feb to end of April the sun shifted to a more yellowish orange as I remember it being as a kid. And then between like 2011 to 2025 it was usually whiteish. I remember years ago having a premonitory dream of the sun changing middle of the day and everyone was awestruck. Weird how many of these dreams get mixed in as actual lived experiences
