EGO DEATH IS A TRAP.. ITS IN THE NAME. I APPROACHED IT ONCE AND ALMOST REALLY, TRULY DIED. almost discovered where I was.... True ego death will actually kill you, think zero summing in elder scrolls lore. People who talk about achieving this are either 1. lying 2. stupid or 3. npcs planted to make PCs commit suicide. You do not have a quick save. Do not ego death unless you wish to die.

The problem is people get stuck there and think having a dead ego is a good thing. At that point you're just an empty vessel. The ego is the lens through which the divine experiences so it must be reborn. But a lot of the people that even talk about ego death don't really see the after integration with the divine for whatever reason. The ego is the container to stretch and make porous so the light can enter.

Ego-Death is about "accepting ones Current Spiritual Losses; dropping the unrealistic idea of finding a way to 'Cheat oneself out of said Losses'; to instead start trying to produce something beneficial at some point". "To manage to Stop Blaming Others for stuff that one has obviously objectively Done To Themselves" etc. ie managing to cope with the massive spiritual losses one has produced if they've been part of 'The Demiurgic Heimarmene'; and accepting that the Oppression one has caused themselves comes from Their Own Movement, a spiritual movement based on 'trying to Cheat and Steal' instead of Playing Legit. This is what requires Ego-Death; overcoming the mindset of "Trying to be mad at those one was trying to fuck over and Steal from"; blaming the people one was attemting to Fraud for the Negative Results of such Fraud and Cheat attempts; instead of 'blaming oneself as the obvious cause of said Losses; maybe it was 'Fraud and Cheat-attempts' that led to Losses; rather than 'ones intended victims of said Frauds'.
