With a solar filter or solar telescope you can track sunspots and confirm it is a rotating sphere (the sun rotates once every 27 daysish - it varies because the poles rotate slower) You can see galaxies, nebulae, and star clusters - late June / July the center of the Milky Way is highest in the sky during the year for the northern hemisphere and it is dense with dazzling beauty.
