A few years back I had an odd experience which resulted in me starting to hear everyday conversation through others as metaphors, allegories, or parables containing a deeper message unrelated to what was actually being said.At one point I could no longer understand or focus on what would be said to me directly, but only hear an alternative meaning to what was actually being said. As if each individuals speech was the encrypted message for the “program” running them - but I now had a key to decrypt the actual meaning of the message.It felt like having an ongoing never ending conversation with God, where each individual conversation may have had different topics, but the underlying message remained the same and would pick up where I left off from a previous conversation.Is this what the Bible is talking about in regards to “speaking in tongues”? Has anyone else experienced this?

Oddly enough, whatever was communicating with me conveyed that I was its pet, would always refer to me as a dog. I had a birthday where people got me dog toys and I was really thrown off because I never mentioned that internal thought to anyone.
>>42396446I do think it’s interesting that the Bible says God spoke to people through symbols, parables, dark sayings etc. Was it overly intense for a period? It lasted about 2 years for me, and only happens occasionally now. I’ll literally get dizzy, fuzzy vision, and start hearing an underlying message from whoever is speaking to me at the time and go back to normal once the conversation is done.
