This diagram has never been transmitted before. The fundamental reason for this is because the Way of the Elixir is vast and subtle, and there are obtuse people30 who do not have the ability to grasp it. Consequently, it rarely has been transmitted in the world. I happened to observe the diagram among the books and paintings in the study(chai 齋) of Kao Sung-shan 高松山. By chance, it was hanging on a wall. The skill used in its painting technique is finely executed. The annotations of the joints and articulations (chin-chieh 筋節), meridians andvessels (mai-lo 脈絡) are clearly distinguished, and each one contains specificcavities (ch'iao 竅). I examined [the diagram] for a long time and realized that my comprehensionwas growing. I began to realize that exhalation and inhalation (hu-hsi 呼吸) as well as expellingand ingesting (tu-na 吐納) of the human body are the waxing and waning31 as wellas the ebb and flow of the cosmos. If you can divine and gain insight into this, you will have progressed more thanhalfway on your inquiry into the great Way of the Golden Elixir (chin-tan ta-tao 金丹大道). In truth, I did not dare to keep this for myself alone. Therefore, I had it engraved on a printing block [so that it might be] widelydisseminated. Engraved with deep reverence as an inscribed record by [Liu Ch'eng-yin,] theTaoist Su-yün
The human body contains 360 bones and joints, 84000 hair and poresAt the back there are three gates: Wěilǘ, Jiājǐ and Yùzhěn1Wěilǘ is at the tip of coccyxThis gate can open to the inner kidneysFrom this gate rises narrow marrow path calledWater Canal2 or Yellow River3The Yáng rises along this pathReaching up to Jiājǐ between the shoulder bladesFrom there it goes to Yùzhěn and continues to brainsThese are the three gatesAt the front there are 3 dāntiáns: Níwán, Earth Cauldron and Jade poolNíwán is the highest Dāntián located at the area of cùn and two fēnEmptiness opens the cavity which hides the dwelling place of ShénAt the eyebrows Heart is the Heavens GateOne cùn deeper is Hall of Brightness4One cùn deeper is Chamber of the Cave5And one cùn deeper still is Níwán6Inferior to Heart of eyebrows is stem of the nose calledMansion of Rumbling Thunder7 and Golden Bridge8Downwards we arrive to the palateIn the middle of it are two openings and road to the throatHere is what is called the Magpie Bridge9Pharynx is formed of neck and boneIt is coming and going place for inner and outer QìBehind the soft and flexible throat is gulletIt receives food and drink which goes to stomach and intestinesThroat has 12 regulators called the Double storey towersEntry to lungs is lower and still lower is HeartBones are covering the Heart and are called as Doves tail10Below the Heart is cave called Crimson Palace11The Crimson Palace is the place where Dragon and Tiger unite

I appreciate effort posts, but would have been nice to explain what this book/scripture is

>>42399008Very nice, thank you for posting. Even though I have been interested in internal alchemy for some time and know the diagram (Nei Jing Tu), I have never seen a word for word translation of the inscriptions. Is it your own translation?Like anyone who studies this stuff, I have my own interpretation what is depicted on the diagrams. And of course my own ideas on what actions one should take on the path of internal cultivation. But I always find it interesting to hear the opinions of others.Care to share some of your understanding of the theory and practice?
