Recently, I have been thinking about the film A Dark Song. No doubt, it is controversial with occultists here. The character of Joseph Solomon intrigued me. Rough working class alcoholic guy with possible trauma who obviously found something that led him into the occult. Eventually he worked he was damned anyway and just kept pursuing the occult until he was a master. Sophia: “The world isn’t just science, is it?”Solomon: “Is that what you’re here to prove?”Sophia: “I don’t know. Possibly.”Solomon: “Science describes the least of things. The least of what something is.Religion, magic…bows to the endless in everything. The mystery.”Have you ever met someone like that?
>magic is just what uou don't know
>>42406662This is an interesting synchronicity, as I watched that movie yesterday. My favorite scene is the end where she meets her guardian angel.
>>42407340I liked the nerdy details to a certain extent. References to Gnosticism and the Kabbalah. Would like to find out more about Joseph Solomon’s background. How he became an alcoholic and got into the occult. I studied stem at uni but the sheer vastness of the things we do not know make me wonder if there are more things in heaven and earth than we dare dream. Who knows what lurks that we cannot see or detect with our primitive instruments? Who knows what might lurk that does not want to be detected? Occult means hidden. I wonder what is actually hidden.
