Because the unfalsifiable triggers defensive walls in human psychology, as that kind of logic inherently threatens your built in world view. Pathologizing or this disdain you feel for priests are the most common forms this defense mechanism takes.It's not wrong or bad on either end but it is a sign you are way too protective of your own reality tunnel.

It's called being a warrior. At the beginning of time God made two paths for salvation: the priest's, and the warrior's, and all men tend to lean towards one or the other. Both are fundamentally about facing death to transcend death, but the warrior does it by facing the horrors without, and the priest does it by facing the horrors within. In practice though both types have completely lost their way and warriors no longer fight and priests no longer pray: the former simply lies indolent while the latter seeks to control and manipulate society to flatter his immense pride. I've always hated and distrusted priests myself, but every warrior should be at least a little priestly so he doesn't become a hedonistic brute.
