what if what gets transferred during reincarnation isn't the conscious self-aware self (system 2), but the unconscious system 1?
That's literally what happens
>>42416049then how is one supposed to escape reincarnation if they aren't able to take logical action (system 2 isn't there)?
>>42416065I think we are meant to unite our selves in this lifetime in order to do the thing that you say.
>>42416065I just don't know, and it's one of the mysteries that vexes me the most.
>>42416102Damn, sucks for the billions of people stuck in repressive religions that keep them away from the knowledge of their past lives, huh?
>>42416102what unification? there's no unification of the systems, there's either completely submitting to system 1 or reigning and recognizing the patterns of system 1 through system 2
But teh tahna tahna tun, duh duh duh duh duh duhndun, but teh tahna tahna tun, tuhnunu-nuh nuhnt nuhn nah!
>>42417930It's absolutely possible to integrate the conscious and subconscious mind. The subconscious acts as a source of creativity and intuition, and a fundamental part of who you are as a spirit/soul. A properly cultivated conscious mind can then take responsibility for this greater soul, posessing a sense of self and a will.Highly recommended reading: this short pdf goes into detail about the various parts of your mind and how to properly develop and integrate them, to cultivate the power of your mind.https://files.catbox.moe/51vi3w.pdf
>>42416065Read the Bhagavad Gita. See it only through the lens of consciousness if that's what floats your boat, but it does have the answers. You need to be willing to surrender if you want liberation.(Hint: Krishna = the unconsciousness, jivatma = self-aware self.)
>>42420883and DON'T read the translation published by ISKCON, it's propaganda. You can still parse the fundamental messages but you'll have to work harder. Just read literally any other translation and use your noggin.
If you don't remember shit about "previous lives", what exactly makes it a reincarnation?Sounds super to me

>>42416065>how can we escape prison if they don't let us have the keyWe're not supposed to escape reincarnation, that's the whole point.
>>42420861>>42420883>>42420891this isn't a merge, it's just getting rid of repressions/insecurities and reigning system 1 with system 2 + meditation LARP LARP LARP Sahur go LARP somewhere else
It's called the alaya or storehouse consciousness. It's the seed bed in which all karmic seeds of action are planted. These seeds create the conscious mind as they mature and bear fruit. What we can do is purify the seeds, and carefully cultivate the garden
>>42422050do you have any evidence to back that up?
>>42422067It's the Buddhist philosophy of yogachara, which claims to be based on observations made in deep meditative states. We can make observations ourselves that align with the yogachara, or find that they don't align, and reject the yogachara. We are either innately predisposed to the teachings, or we are not disposed and the teachings must come to us in a different form. The game of evidence and proof is not helpful for changing minds and cultivating beings. But the OP post arrived at a possibility very close to the teachings of yogachara and therefore yogachara is relevant
>>42416044nobody gives a fuckif i reincarnate im gonna be a menace
>>42422145Nigga, you already are
>>42422153I want to fly like a beagle in the sea. I want to fly into the futa.
>>42416065You're not supposed to. Beings like Buddha are cosmic jesters that bait you with a promise of ascending and become as Gods, beyond the cycle of causality, if only you do "this silly set of things designed to waste your time". You can take solace in the fact the current you will die and your conscious mind shall become free of whatever suffering you might meet on your way. Nobody, however, can guarantee what happens after death. Nobody who died came back to tell us about it, except another godlike being (Jesus Christ) toward which normal rules do not apply, as "they are not of this world", therefore, the rules that apply to us, do not apply to them. Is there any point in wondering what lies after death, if nobody can give you a 100% sure and definite answer, only guesses, conjectures, etc.? Is there any point at all, knowing that Death comes for all, beginning from the smallest bacteria to the biggest stars? They only differ in the amount of time spent in this World.
>>42422036Not to mention - if reincarnation is true, then there's almost a 100% chance that each of us was once a pajeet or chinkoid that was deeply religious and followed one of the teachings "supposed" to help you escape the cycle of reincarnation. The very fact all of us are still here means that either reincarnation isn't real, that's not what happens after death OR the teachings are wrong and very likely, wrong on purpose. The masters of this world would not only gain nothing, they'd be losing a valuable resource if a way to escape their grasp has been made public and available to all. If, and only IF, such a possibility exists, then I can promise you this one thing - it's kept a secret, a biggest secret in History as if this knowledge was true and made public, it would unravel the World as we know it. Not even actual, physical proof of aliens would be as big as a confirmed way to basically hop dimensions, as escaping reincarnation also means escaping the entire physical reality as we know it. It would change a person, previously subject to Laws of Physics and Cycle of Death and Rebirth, into something that is subject to neither. It's impossible at that point to predict what kind of an existence, if any at all, would that be.
>>42416044what's carried over isn't an individual instance of consciousness but a pattern of ingrained behavior and preferencesit's the pattern that evolves throughout incarnations
>>42422378that's literally what OP said
