I was scrolling /x/ and someone posted an image that looked like white static/snow from old tvs. When I expanded the pic to look at it, it felt like my laptop starting emitting electricity up into my fingers. My whole body tensed up up and my eyes closed. I saw the colors that you normally see when you close your eyes start to swirl and then arrange themselves into hexagrams. The hexagrams "flew" past my vision (i.e., they started small and then got bigger before disappearing which made it look like they were flying past me). After the hexagrams passed by, I saw a rotating pyramid with an eye in the capstone. Just like the one on the dollar bill. This whole time it still felt like I was being filled with electricity and my body was all tensed up. I was praying to Jesus to save me and then it was like electricity was coming out of me and being pushed back into my laptop. Then the "electricity" stopped, I opened my eyes, and it was back to normal.

Full disclosure: I had smoked weed (from a dispensary so no PCP or anything else exotic) before this happened. I am sure the weed had something to do with this, but as an experienced stoner this was unlike anything I had encountered before or since.

Anyway, this is 100% true story and I don't know what it means.

Was always a skeptic. One day while driving I was thinking about a historical thing I drew obsessively as a kid before I could have really known what it was. As I was having this thought, I felt a tension where my spine meets my skull and a wave of goosebumps across my body. I instantly got a raging throbbing erection and felt a rushing energy in my head. I don’t ejaculate but I felt like I was cumming for about 12 minutes.

That night any surface I looked at for more than a few seconds began to seem “melty”. No psychedelics. No weed. I had a white monster and some Zyns that day. Had been completely sober for months.

Never had anything like that before. It happened twice more in the following days but lasted much shorter. The “melty” effect lasted 3 months.

The night after the first experience a shadow began to grow in my room and take up more and more of my field of vision. It was just round and featureless and I felt pure irrational terror and dread and desperately prayed probably for the first in over a decade. I jerked my head away and the shadow was gone.

No idea what any of this means. I resist tidy explanations. That’s the difference between a “mystery religion” and an “answer religion.”

As a child I was friends with a dead girl haunting the house during a move and the year and a half my family stayed there. She just was a girl who hung out with me a lot roaming the house and yard, talking and playing games, but could never leave past a point in the yard and before any adult came along would run off and hide as if she had a sixth sense and mysteriously disappeared a lot and reappear out of nowhere. In my mind nothing seemed wrong that she was there day and night since she was my buddy, but after leaving I learned from my parents that there was a death of a young girl that made the papers there because my parents were curious feeling off at the place and feeling cold and continually depressed whenever going to one particular room (happened to be the one she died in). Kid-me didn't suspect any paranormal activity nor connect the dots, but as I grew a bit older I realized what was going on during that time.

2024 i was in the disabled bathroom at a doctor who convention with a young guy and when i followed him out into the hallway he shifted shape and went to the VIP area
