Light attracts them and they often come inside from an open window.They can be quite big though, and make a low buzz when flying. That creeps some people out, especially as they look like daddy longlegs with wings.So just keep your windows shut at night, or don't keep lights on at the same room as an open window.

Also just controlling the nature nearby, cutting grass, landscaping etc. Bibles and crosses work too, leave some on the porch or to other areas you need to keep clear of fairies. Other symbols of organized religion may work too, I think its more of a order vs. chaos sort of thing...

Iron fences, horseshoes nailed above doors, blades, nails, etc. The folklore suggests that worked iron is destructive to fairies because fairies are creatures of nature and pure iron is unnatural. I’m of the opinion that ferromagnetism would likely be involved should it have any effect on the fae but that’s just speculation on the nature of fae.

>>42989495I have no idea why one would want a fae infestation so close to home. It’s essentially ceding your land to them and they will take advantage of that fact. You should probably play by traveler’s rules. Identify likely fae claimed landmarks, announce intention prior to intrusion, provide offerings, and don’t disturb anything potentially fae related while performing maintenance. Alternatively, and if you are less ethical, you can try to trick the fae; hire someone else to do it and pretend like you weren’t involved.
