When those martial arts youtubers did that whole "self defense championships" thing, Sensei Seth specifically mentioned that he had just gone through this whole sumo camp thing, and in a lot of the "street fight" situations, the ability to just straight up manhandle and pin someone against the wall gave him a massive strategic advantage, and he said if you need to just overpower someone to bring them to the fence, then sumo's the real deal. But then again, he's a big dude, I think like 6'1" and 210lbs or so.
