All "martial artists" are pathetic, weak-minded people; they have to wear rainbow ribbons to motivate themselves in cosplay.

A true martial artist primarily cultivates and masters his mind, and in his martial life, he will only wear a rope around his waist and eventually a black belt after long years of mental, physical, and martial training.
>>
>train your mind as well as your body
>I'm the first person to come up with this
>>
Why wear a rope? Why are you in a costume to begin with?

the belt just holds the robe together

For martial arts with throws, it makes throws easier and means your clothes don't tear

>it makes throws easier
No it don't
>means your clothes don't tear
No it still will
On Saturdays at my gym I just don't wear a belt
I like to keep visitors guessing/don't want them to take it easy on me (am just blue in BJJ) and 70% of our gym is no gi on those days anyways the belt to me is meaningless and I don't even care if people grab my clothes, I fucking grab my clothes if I'm trying to avoid a joint lock, it's just safer than no gi

>No it don't
Mother fucker more than half of the throws in judo use the gi as a grip
If you think a wrist throw is as easy as a gi throw you're completely deluded
