How do we feel about adults using scooters?Yes, I'm insecure about it because I'm considering getting one to get to places faster and overall do a little exercise but I don't want to look like a twat.
>>238022You'll look like a massive faggot. Get a skateboard or a bike like a real man. Imagine being an adult and still riding a scooter
If space and/or the ability to carry it with you in public transport, bring it in your flat or at your workplace etc is a concern, then scooters are a really good options for big cities yeah. However if that's not such an issue, you really should go for a bike instead. Much safer to ride, easier to repair, you'll get more exercise, etc. And it looks a bit less stupid.
>>238031>>238032I DO have a bike but I also live on a third floor so lifting it through the stairs every day soons becomes annoying. If you think about it, lifting it could count as another short exercise I guess.
>>238022Scooters are kinda lame. Maybe consider a longboard. On the other hand, I barely see regular scooters anymore and all the kids ride around on electric scooters and are fat as shit, so scooters may actually wrap around into being cool again as a reaction to that
>>238022moped or a cruiser are less twat-codedbeing insecure is also twat coded thoughbeit
Get an electric skateboard but be prepared to die unless you've skated before and maybe you will anyway.
>>238022It's a twat conveyance. This is unavoidable.
I honestly couldn't care less. Worrying about other people's habits is for teenagers and control freaks.
LMAO Got a scooter also. Just didn't use it because just looks really awkward. There are wide variety of bikes.
>>238022>riding around skating in the street a few weeks back.>drunk ass 40 yo neighbor comes over to talk to me>Tells me do a kick flip etc>I offer him the board after a bit> He laughs and grabs his daughters razor scooter>Goes "check this out">Tries to do something maybe a bunny hop?>Lands directly on his back, scooter falls on top of him>Hobles back inside gasping for airLeave it to the pros I suppose.
>>238022I considered one for the last leg of my commute(2 buses then a 2 mile walk)Ended up just getting a bike to cycle the whole thing>got it home and it has a puncture so I still haven't taken it in yet
>>238022everyone hating on a scooter would probably crack there shit trying to do a real trick like a blunt on a rail. Fuck these faggots do what you wanna do. Scootering is based and fun as hell. A lot of scooter street parts have more swag and less gay song choices too because they realize they actually have to have extra swag to make scootering look cool so there is more effort put into not looking like a queer corporate sell out poser.
>>238022i had the opportunity once to ride one for free in public. was fun, they go pretty fast but I'd never personally own one. If you like it, go for it. But yea, expect people to talk shit or give you looks. Rarely, but expect it nonetheless.
