I make a living modelling avatars for furries on VRChat
>>1001487Who pays you?
>>1001489Presumably the furries
>>1001487What was your craziest commission?
>>1001487was it worth it?
How do you set up the lip syncing? Seems like thst would be the hardest part.
>>1001499I don't want to be a wagie slaving away for five days a week so yes. I'm a former NEET that isn't good for anything else. I would never tell anyone I know IRL that I do this for a living. I just tell them that I'm a freelance graphic designer (not a lie as I do have to market myself)>>1001498Making two avatars for a guy and his boyfriend for a virtual wedding>>1001503I use CATS in blender which auto generates the visemes for you. I make other shape keys like blinking by hand
>>1001487how do I commission you? I don't know any artists but I am in need of a custom model and would honestly trust a random /3/ anon
>>1001487how much would you take to model a basic pepe avatar?
>>1001487Show some of your work.>>1001648There are so many of these in VRC already, just go to an avatar search world.
>>1001487I hate myself for seeing this market coming literally a decade ago when the first new-gen VR headsets were being released and not being able to figure out how to capitalize on it. I even knew people who I told my predictions who were like, "Bet," and who've made thousands on avatar commissions, when I can't even get people to like my Twitter posts showing the models I've worked on for friends for free. Same dude once said, "I wish there were more 3D furry artists to take some of the commission load off me," like we hadn't chatted every day for years. Another was putting together a list of artists to send commissioners to, I posted my work, not even a reply. I would love to chat people up about techniques and stuff, no bites. This fandom doesn't miss a chance to let you down.
