Why does weight painting suck so fucking much in blender? How isn't there an ngskintools equivalent for this shitty semen slurping program yet?
>>
>>1002639
No and neither does Maya or other softwares. You cannot skip the mandatory weight painting. Computer is dumb, it’s the reason why AI can’t be called AI.
>>
you vill manually assign zie vertex groups

und you vill be happy

You know you aren't meant to do any work in blender? You are meant to do the donut tutorial and see if you like this whole 3d thing in theory and then switch to maya
>>
>>1002639
unironically a skill issue, weight painting is fucking easy
>>
>>1002660
cmon blender is fine for laundering stolen assets

Sorry about >>1002726 but it's true and I can't believe those fuckers are already doing another fundraiser.
>>

>Work on UI and tools
They’re lying, everyone been asking for UI changes for years. The thing is a scam.
>>
>>1002756
You say Blender fundraisers are a scam because you haven't seen the results of the "Animation 2025" project. Nevermind. They've already cancelled that.
>>
>>1002639
Just practice. There's no shortcut to weight painting. It is hard at first, and it does look weird, but
>baby screeching about the program
You'll have this problem in any program.

>>1002708
It's not easy at first for some people, I think OP is one of those people. He's working himself into a rage over nothing, when he should be getting the hours he needs to get good enough. Just because he's not good right away he's angry.
>>
>>1002774
Blender's smooth weight tools are objectively worse than Maya's though. Also you can't volume smooth without a paid addon unlike Maya (I wouldn't expect blendlets to understand why this is important). Just dogshit all around.
>>
>>1002639
there's addons for that that fix it pretty much completely

voxel heat defuse skinning, and surface heat diffuse skinning take care of almost everything
>>
>>1002639
Never tried ngskintools, what would you say are its best aspects?
>>
>>1002813
>Non-destructive layer-based workflow, so you can work on limbs separately. No need to lock joints anymore. Also helps you control the direction of your smoothing.
>Masks
>Best mirroring tools in the business
>Best smooth tools including volume smooth to ensure two intersecting meshes can share the same weights when you smooth them out and don't just shit the bed (important for things like belts on clothing for example)
Shit is industry standard. Every rigger in every studio either uses this or their own in-house equivalent.

>Shit is industry standard. Every rigger in every studio either uses this or their own in-house equivalent.
rigging isnt linear blend skinning anymore. It looks unrealistic, plain and simple. You want to use vellum or vellum-like.
>>
>>1002708
Speaking of which, is there one way to do "smooth weights" across all bones? cuz when I use data transfer and other tricks I need to manually smooth a few times on every vertex group.
>>
>>1002867
In maya yes there’s a tool. On other software besides Blender, you can smooth out weighed areas. It’s blender that still doesn’t offer such simple tool.
>>
>>1002867
Click the little ">" on the last operation options or press f6 after clicking weights->smooth, you can choose "all vertex groups" there.
>>
>>1002882
I'll check it.

I haven't done a lot lately but I'm trying to perfect the art of panties stuck in ass crack. It's difficult because two separate simulations in Blender update each other only at the end of a whole frame.
>>
>>1002997
That’s because you’re not trying. There’s no easy way out. Simulation and plugins aren’t going to solve anything. You have to keyframe it manually like ancient times.
>>
>>1002725
So that's not a clever plan, but something that has often been done before and there are methods to be able to tell? So if I have 9 fake storefronts full of allegedly something about like that kind of, it would be dishonest and illegal? You understand I haven't gotten that far in the dictionary right?
>>
>>1003004
I'll let you do that.
>>
>>1002639
donate or contribute faggot
>inb4 too poor to donate & too stupid to contribute
>>
>>1003041
Insult people and do nothing of what they ask. It's not a good strategy to get donations.

I've made the behind 20% softer in simulation and it seems to have fixed the clipping.
>>
>>1002640
Funny. You can't really call it "assistive" either since it helps you help yourself instead of just helping.
