Is Vulkan all but dead or is it still viable if you want to convert an existing opengl engine into the modern age?

It’s dead because the whole thing is incompatible with everything else. No one wants to redo the rendering mechanism, OpenGL is fine, deal with it.

i have over 700 commits on my old azdo gl engine, but i havent touched it in years. I'm trying to adapt it to do advanced physics now
