Looking back, I never liked how Fujimoto portrayed Denji wanting to be CSM and a hero as a bad thing from the start. It was too onesided. Given that he’s a typical dumb teenager and in a bleak world, being a beloved hero and killing devils would be the dream for practically any boy.
