This show was the surprise of the season for me, it was way better than it needed to be. I enjoyed how autistically chuuni Youki was, and I loved how charismatic the cast is. They were more than one-dimensional secondary characters, which made me care about them. The sweet slice of life moments really warmed my heart and it made smile every episode. I'm genuinely sad that it won't get a season 2 since the finale was apparently anime-original but I'll read the manga.
Yōki could have been a better self-insert for Anon if Cecilia was kidnapped by orcs/bandits and she is gangraped and savaged for several days but is eventually rescued. Her chastity and marriageability are destroyed but Anon confesses anyway and accepts being dick #18 in Cecilia
