Oda's obsession with making this series popular and relevant thanks to Netflix and the number of celebrities who talk about it claiming to be fans and then stop talking about One Piece after a month or two makes me think that One Piece's sales and popularity are much lower than Shueisha and Oda want to admit. Part of One Piece's popularity seems artificial.
