Most of the characters felt pretty fleshed out compared to a majority of the characters from the old anime since I'm assuming horizons was never planned to go on for very long so we were able to learn more about their origins and relationships with other characters. My main gripe is that the rest of the crew was never really allowed to do anything outside of their usual roles so I hope they condense the cast a bit in the next series.
