I suspect they dropped the ball on that season there because Beastars and Leviathan being animated at the same time while having to work within the source material. And I wouldn't be surprised if Nightow had more say this time around too.

>>287774276cute rock >>287774585in terms of art style I guess it works with lustrous and beastars because its hyper stylized and i guess the story lines for bother are lighter? trigun is supposed to be realistic and gritty. they didn't even bother to try and capture the essence of trigun but turned it into their own adaptation. which feels like some lukewarm bullshit like beastars and lustrous is but even then the animation quality is just not there. i would give them a pass if it looked as visually appealing as the other shows but its not. its like they couldn't figure out if they wanted to actually make trigun or turn it into some queer shit just to spite the fans becuase clearly. trigun is a huge series. and they decided to half ass it for no reason even given the green light to do whatever.
