If you asked me what my personal favourite was (only in terms of how emotional it made me) then I might rank it even above the latter two routes, but that's just my personal opinion and, "objectively" speaking, it's definitely not the best one. In fact, in terms of the story, the Ciel route is actually better in pretty much every way, but because I can't stand Ciel it ended up feeling really annoying to read at times. I feel similarly about Kasumi's and Kei's routes in Dies Irae (Kei's route is objectively better in pretty much every way, but because of how much I hate her I still prefer Kasumi's).The last two routes are overall the best routes of the game and the ending of the Hisui route hit me out of nowhere (one of the only times I cried reading a VN).
