Had a discussion with my sister, a 30 y.o fujo(who reads Jump weekly like me and maybe our parents should ask what went wrong) to understand why Ichi, even with fujopandering isn't working.1. She finds the male designs ugly, she only likes WH's one. She says that even if the art is good(she finds the girl character designs really cute) Ichi hairstyle is ugly, and Gokuraku's is simply weird and has too much going on. 2. Continuing from the last point, she said that if you think about WSJ series popular with fujos(Jujutsu, MHA, Haikyuu, Kuroko or Gintama) the designs are all pretty simple, so it's easier for fanartists to draw them all screwing each other. Often it's something like a uniform, a particular piece of cloth that makes the character distinct(that's why, she said, sometimes you can confuse some characters with others in djs). Also she said that other fujos find military like uniforms really hot(that's why for her KGB guys>>>Ichi guys).3. The premise is really hard to work with if you want to attract fujos. She said that, while fujos hate for female characters, is overrated, the main problem is having few boys, and basically only two of them human.
