I do think that plot progression for Onimai really has the sword of "Is Mahiro going to go back to being Malehiro?" hanging over its head. On one hand, the "Onii-chan rehabilitation program" is basically the reason for the GB in the first place. It makes sense that by the end of it Onii-chan goes back to being an onii-chan. And yet, at the same time most of the relationships are based on his time as a girl. Unless Neko starts to trickle in "the potion is beginning to fail and he has to spend more and more time as his original self (hopefully as a trap)", and he has to maybe try and remake friends with his friends, I don't see how those two plotlines can really gel together with the manga retaining at least some SoL-ness.
