After reading GT13 I think what Kamachi might be going for in GT just hit, everything clicked around the time of Hamazura basically siding with Coronzon. For all of GT and maybe since the end of NT I’ve felt like Kamachi made a mistake by doing an Aleister and Coronzon centric arc seemingly only halfway through the series.The main reason was because Kamachi used both of the antagonists in the background at once, leaving us with nothing at the end of NT22. Anna really wasn’t supposed to fill that hole, neither did Alice, CRC was a good antagonist but he didn’t last. You could write that off and and say it was building up someone else, Coronzon returning in GT13 felt like she was gonna job to someone else, because Index hasn’t truly had a “big bad” in a while. But the issue is they’d come out of nowhere now, right? So near the end of GT13 where Kamachi makes it pretty abundantly clear that we may be getting to the root of all the other antagonists and stuff like Aleister’s plan which seemingly got tossed aside in the form of what’s wrong with the world. Hamazura is basically indistinguishable from Fiamma now in how he’s given up on the world as is, Touma/Accel/Aleister are failing nonstop in their attempt to stop the world from falling apart in GT. Accel being a bad chairman is possibly where Kamachi is leading with this. There’s a real possibility that GT isn’t supposed to have some big antagonist, it may be a sequence of events leading to some reset for the world, hence the Genesis title. And if you really wanted to find some big villain in the background since the start of the series, it seems like it might be God himself now
