He didn't showcase a single new trick throughout his entire "five fiery fights" so he, objectively, did not grow through it. Baki both in his lore and Kengan lore. When we watched the cross anime we can see this was some sort of pre annihilation tournament arc as we can look at Saw and Raian so we assume Ohma knew only the few Niko style skills in which during his fight with Baki we could see him lose the advantage right at the start as Baki zoned him and started copying his Niko style techniques but then we enter the autism zone with possessed by a god and demon back Baki slugging it out because it's a dream match.
Would this have changed if Ohma knew all his skills? Yeah so it'll probably be razor thin close.
Either way I love both series and hope we see the Ogre vs Kuroki fight with actual lore that makes sense.

So, with Jack having definitively lost to Hanayama, what was the purpose of the fight in the context of the arc? Was it just another case of Itagaki getting bored or simply being unable to resist to wank Hanayama? Or is the fact that, after going on about not caring about optics, Jack lost to the character most preoccupied with looking cool as he fights supposed to teach him something? Will Jack be forced to admit he actually cares deeply about the approval of others after all? Will there be some bullshit of beauty being an inherent part of martial arts?
