It's abnormal if men can't women when women watch men. Otaku return balance. ((They)) feel threatened that men might watch women-but why is that womyn are allowed to ''stan''? That's unnatural. Worse yet, in some cases, in harem, it'll look like man watching women, but in fact, there's often a 1:1 ratio of man-to-woman as there are female characters to complement a male character but also sidekicks. It's simply not 1:0 man-to-woman and the non-otaku feels threatened that a story can include both genders in them. Such media is complemented by fujo media, and then shoujo, which again leans into 1:1 as a reverse harem will include gals for the protagonist to be friends with.
