Thanks OP.Honestly, after rereading Oden's flashback in the daily threads, he himself is a fine character. I think the issue is the sheer quantity of glazing he gets before he's even shown doing anything.The naked dance is somewhat silly, but it could've been alleviated easily by some dialogue about Orochi/Kaido reneging on the deal if he told anyone else or left the country to get help, though the latter was almost certainly not an option given he probably did not have a vivre card for Whitebeard. But that's also just an issue with this arc is important stuff just happens off screen with no answer as to why.

But the wanking, ESPECIALLY at the start of the flashback sours it in a way i just can't get over. I liked it more then i remember overall and it was extremely funny getting reveals from the latest chapters just as we got to pertinent chapters.I unironically enjoy Momo as a character far more then Oden because he shows a far greater character arc, with any glazing directed his way countered by acknowledgement of his flaws from other characters and that he does make mistakes which come back to bite him.I also don't mind Yamato but i suspect the fact i like her design biases me
