Not only that but Ed uses power of friendship punch to convince Greed to beat Father which was fucking retarded and faggy. Worst asspull is Ed sacrificing his alchemy to restore Al's body. That's all it took? The journey was fucking pointless since he could've done that any time. Also they use the philosopher's stone to cure Roy's blindness instead of doing anything for the Ishvalans, and they're supposed to be good guys? . But ultimately this is a culmination of all the ways this show was destined to failure, like the fact that the introduction of the anime was super rushed and introduced filler like the ice guy and hulk cornello was completely uncalled for and cringe. At least the 2003 anime adds worldbuilding and not the cringeworthy shit. Speaking of which I prefer the original because it's deeper and more like Monster and other classic anime, the ending actually has Ed sacrificing something which shows that life isn't an EPIC happily ever after like faggot brotherhood which is more like the generic garbage a la Demon Slayer and Solo Leveling and other bullshit, it really shows how much the anime industry has declined from deep classics in the early 90s like evangelion and lain that actually experimented and took bold moves. Also it is REALLY unfunny and full of tonal whiplash that makes it impossible to take it seriously, there's a scene where Ed's face turns into a crocodile and we're meant to find that funny or some shit.
