I've been watching Honey and Clover, and it's really interesting how Chica Umino is able to portray male friend groups and their intrasexual dynamics. Of course they all take on different forms, with the beta-alpha-sigma relationship shown with Takemoto-Mayama-Morita not being as hierarchical as in some groups, however the dynamic persists nonetheless. I think it often takes a female author to portray this stuff, since a lot of men become uncomfortable or go into denial when it comes to acknowledging these dynamics. Such as the backlash to that viral post about women getting the ick when they meet their boyfriend's friend group and realize he isn't the leader.
>>281880535>they meet their boyfriend's friend group and realize he isn't the leader.Normalfags call incels weird and then say shit like this
>>281880642That's just reality. You either accept it whether consciously or subconsciously, or become anti-social or an asocial recluse. I'm not ridiculing anyone that takes the latter option btw.
>>281880861i'm not saying that's not reality, i'm just saying that's such a weird thing to say
>>281880861youre telling me theres no friend group without a leader?
>>281881085Yeah, but it's not a purely static role in most cases. Some guys naturally assume leadership within some instances but not others.
