Hody Jones gotta be the lamest worst villain in One Piece so far. Ignoring the fact that he kept human slaves which was hypocritical and was willing and even looking forward to killing other fishmen/women and children, he and his henchmen are just straight up assholes. They are like the people who show up to BLM protests just to cause havoc and mayhem. He masqueraded his plan with hatred of humans but he really just want power. And after that you'd think at least a small portion of his supporters would be like "hey what the fuck man?!" after admitting he killed the queen. Fucking lame.And dont get me started on how some of the most powerful people in the kingdom got captured really easily and were getting held by normal giant chains.We got KING NEPTUNE a supposed great knight (yes they said he's gotten older and cant fight but come on event he size alone should make it a challenge), his 3 sons who were supposedly great knights and in their prime as well. A giant fucking mermaid and JINBE, A FORMER WARLORD. AND THEN HER FUCKING PET SHARK SEES HODY KILLING THE QUEENA ND TELLS NO ONE BUT THE MERMAID?FUCK YOU ODA. Such contrived bullshit. Yes a lot of stuff in the anime is contrived but it felt unnoticeable or even trivial. I know, its anime, its gonna happen. But everything had to play out JUST right for Hodys plan to go through. That fucking god damn shark not telling anyone else for a decade is retarded. I know Luffy is gonna come in and beat his ass and that will be that but the way some characters acted this arc got me really pissed off.

This attempt to make everything grey, further clouded by the writer's own lack of a moral compass, is one of the main reasons why modern stories suck.
